Tunedly Co-founders Share Experience with Canada Film Centre via IdeaBoost
In 2016, Mylene Besancon and Chris Erhardt, co-founders of SongCat, which has since become Tunedly, were invited by the Canada Film Centre (CFC) to speak about their experience of bringing their startup to life to IdeaBoost 2016 participants.
Mylene and Chris had the idea for SongCat in 2014 and launched the company officially in 2015. The idea came about after both recognized the challenges faced by some songwriters and musicians, who did not have access to affordable or high-quality music production services or opportunities to gain exposure.
The CFC is described as a charitable organization that invests in and inspires the next generation of Canadian world-class creators and entrepreneurs in the screen-based entertainment industry. IdeaBoost is a Toronto-based business accelerator and startup community, that claimed having helped companies get to the next level of development.
SongCat has evolved to become Tunedly since sharing their story with the CFC. The co-founders are happy for the opportunity and exposure gained.
