✪ Me at the beginning of 2018:
“Last month, I kicked off the Mylène’s Monday Stories (#MMS) series. Basically, what I’ll be doing is to share a post every Monday on a music-related or business subject, and my life experiences. My first posts will touch on topics that have been in the news lately – ego in the music industry; the clashes in Airbnb’s management; major labels giving up on their artists; social media misrepresentations. In answer to that little question in the back of your mind, I decided to start MMS because I remember, when starting out on, how I wished I had access to more genuine insights and information in my field. With that said, it is my hope that these posts will be helpful to you, or at least give you an answer to something you’ve been curious about.”
✪ Me at the end of 2018:
I’m converting Mylène Monday Stories to Mylène’s Monthly Stories (still #MMS) but don’t worry, you won’t be hearing from me any less. I’m just shifting my primary focus to my new blog De Travel Experiences.
From November 2018, I will be posting my personal thoughts on MMS once per month instead of weekly.
And just in case you’re wondering what my new blog is about, keep reading. Most of you know I’m a traveler, so it was only a matter of time for me to do something in that area.
De Travel Experiences is geared towards helping curious travelers, with elegant styles and tastes, discover the best spots around the globe for fun, food, and relaxation, and make lasting memories. It’s a re-imagining of ‘the good life’ and then some, showing potential visitors the best that famous cities, as well as hidden treasures, have to offer, starting with Southern Texas.
My lifestyle improves every year, so it comes naturally for me to focus on minimalist, high-end living, rather than the ‘grimy experiences’ I went through in the past, such as sleeping in a hutch. Those years are definitely behind me. ☺
✪ Me in 2019:
I think one of the first things we should allow ourselves to do is try various things and not be afraid of becoming a jack of all trades and master of none at the beginning of our career. It’s better to invest time in finding an activity that really suits you at that time in your life than to simply settle for something that doesn’t fully satisfy you.
I am a firm believer that there is really nothing wrong with dabbling in many things. You are not ‘just wasting time.’ Each unfitting activity brings you nearer to your true passions. In many cases, most people don’t have a clear pre-defined passions to follow, I believe they are built over time.
I know what I am talking about. You saw me trying various things over the past few years, and look where I am now. I grew from each of those experiences. 🙂
I might dedicate a unique post to this topic sometime in the future, but in the meantime… Let your experiences innately take you to your destination while you eliminate the wrong ones, one by one!
Thanks to all my loyal readers, it means a lot to me that you take time out of your day to view my thoughts and leave comments. If you’re among the silent readers, I invite you to say HI in the comments!
