Music collaboration websites are one example of technology revolutionizing the music industry. Nowadays, you can make music from anywhere, as long as you have a computer and internet connection. But a good music collaboration site is so much more than that.
With that said, one of my goals is to have Tunedly become the best online music collaboration and publishing platform of its kind. As you all probably know by now, I have many goals lined up, and will retire as a happy woman if I achieve even half of them. Tunedly has been built with so much passion, determination, and with so many songwriters/musicians in mind. I do understand that not everyone will see it as the best collaboration site, even if it does reach that status. After all, “If your number one goal is to make sure that everyone likes and approves of you, then you risk sacrificing your uniqueness, and, therefore, your excellence.” – Unknown.
However, it’s my wish that as Tunedly grows, more and more songwriters will be ecstatic about recording their songs using our virtual recording studio, and taking advantage of our other services. I can’t describe the joy I feel when clients leave positive feedback, after discovering Tunedly and describe how it has changed positively their lives for any number of reasons.
In case you aren’t fully up to speed with what Tunedly is, let me use one paragraph to explain what it can do for you if you’re into making music, whether as a hobby or planning to be a professional singer-songwriter.
Imagine that you have written a few songs, either as a hobby or maybe you have ambitions of becoming a professional musician someday. But you live in an area that doesn’t have easy access to music recording studios or qualified musicians and, furthermore, you have no connections in the music business so you don’t know the first steps to take in order to have your lyrics turned to a professional demo or full song. That’s where Tunedly comes in, allowing you to easily connect and collaborate with trained session musicians, leaving you with industry-standard music recordings you can be proud of.
Of course, we are a little more than that. We keep evolving and innovating as your music-making needs become more varied. As a result, Tunedly also provides opportunities for growth-oriented songwriters with ambitions to land publishing deals, and also increase your ability to collect royalties worldwide.
Finally, for those of you who kept reading up to this point, I have a little bonus for you below. I posted this on social media a while back but I felt I was talking to the same people and I wanted to extend my reach. Now that I have had the courage to launch my own blog earlier this year, I’m sharing it with you. Enough blah blah, here is the bonus tip…
“Many musicians, when starting out in their music careers, tend to go after the big fishes in a quest to have their music promoted quickly.
However, as many have found out, getting press from a major blog or publication, or attracting a big label, is far from easy (unless you know someone).
What I have come to learn in this music business is that you have to start out small before you can attract the major labels or get coverage in a popular blog.
If you’re trying to get featured online, for example, you should look around for musicians who are in a similar position in their careers but probably have a blog or have followers on social media. They are more likely to do a story about you or post news-related content to their fan base.
And while you’re getting more exposure, so are they. It’s a win-win, and when the buzz starts happening, for you both, that’s when the big names will start showing interest.
My advice? Find someone to grow with if you’re looking to get to the next level.”
